🐘 Elephant Digging Tusks 🐘

Hey Kids! ❤

Did you know that elephants use their tusks to remove tree bark, dig for roots or make holes to find water?

Do you want to try? 😀 🐘

Description and Resources Needed:

Elephant Digging Tusks is a sensory and math table top activity which focuses on numbers from 1-10.

  • You need to have leaves numbered from 1-10 (you can even laminate them to hold up well in the sand).
  • You need to use a tray to put the sand in.
  • Bury the number leaves in the sand and the children used their tweezers to dig like elephants.
  • After uncovering all the leaves, let the children identify them and place them in order (you can even challenge them to place them backwards).
